Reflecting on 50 Years: Highlights from our 2025 journey

2025 has been a milestone year for Haine & Smith Opticians, as we celebrated 50 years of serving the Wiltshire and Gloucestershire communities with care, expertise, and style. It’s been a year full of exciting changes, memorable moments, and community connections, and we’re thrilled to share some of the highlights from the past year.

A fresh new look

In 2025, we began rolling out our new branding across our practices, with further updates coming in early 2026. From updated decor to new signage, our refreshed look reflects the modern, professional, and welcoming environment we strive to offer every day. Walking into a Haine & Smith practice now feels even more inviting, whether you’re popping in for an eye test or exploring our latest eyewear collections.

Celebrating 50 years

We marked our 50th birthday in style with a special celebration and conference at Hartham Park. It was an incredible opportunity to reflect on our history, connect with our team, and look ahead to the future. We’re so grateful to everyone who has been part of our journey over the past five decades. It’s your trust and support that have made this incredible milestone possible.

Expanding our offerings

2025 has also been a fantastic year of growth. We welcomed exciting new brands into our practices, including Kirk & Kirk, Tom Ford, and Woodys, bringing even more style and variety to our customers. Alongside our premium eyewear, we’ve also expanded our services: hearing checks and wax removal are now available across our practices, providing even more ways to care for your senses.

We have also seen some fantastic developments with AI (Artificial Intelligence), which we are incorporating into more of our practices, from futuristic frames and lenses to more comprehensive eye tests.

Engaging with our communities

Looking after your eyes and ears extends far beyond our practices. Our teams have spent time in the community, fundraising and visiting local schools to educate children and young people about the importance of maintaining good eye health. From our charity fundraisers to visits out and about, it’s been wonderful to see our communities engaging with eye care in such a positive and proactive way.

Looking to 2026, and beyond

As we reflect on 50 years, we’re proud of how far we’ve come, but even more excited about what's ahead. From new brands and services to continued community engagement, 2025 has laid the foundation for an inspiring future.
